Let’s face it: vacationing with older kids or teenagers can get a bit tricky. Teenagers are no longer little kids anymore who need the constant reassurance from Mom or Dad. Disney has plenty of fun rides that your teen will fall in love with and remember forever.
One of the rides that Disney offers that is absolutely great for teens is the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye ride. Your teenager will love driving around in their very own jeep and exploring an ancient temple. They’ll be in for a rough time as they encounter the fury of the god Mara. This fun ride also includes lots of dark spaces, high speeds, and has the perfect mixture of thrills for teens.
Another perfect attraction for your teenager is Space Mountain. While there are no scary flips or drops on this ride, Space Mountain takes place in total darkness. Teens are sure to squeal with delight and be overwhelmed with excitement and want to do it all over again as they soar through laser lights and darkness!
If you and your teen want to enjoy some temporary relief from the hot Florida sun, the best way to do it is to take a ride on Splash Mountain’s 52 foot log flume drop. Your teen will glow with glee as they follow Br’er Rabbit around a mountain while he urgently tries to make amends with Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear. They’ll also love taking the plunge into the water and getting thoroughly soaked. Be sure to remember the towels!
After all of your adventures, you and your teen can retire to a fabulous room at the Mystic Dunes or Terra Verde Resort Orlando.
