Disney world in Orlando Florida is a magical place. Adults and children alike have enjoyed the attractions and rides for many years and all leave in awe of what Walt Disney created. It is not just tourists who consider Disney a magical kingdom residents of Florida get Florida resident Orlando hotel deals every summer to take full advantage of what Orlando has to offer. Even with all of this not many people know the history behind Disney World. But as we all know every great place has to have a start.

Walt Disney’s Snow White hitting the silver screen was what made the name Walt Disney a household name. After inventing Disney Land the owner used the trial and error from that product to start his greatest achievement Disney World. This idea came from Disney’s frustration with limited space and high real estate prices in California. He wanted room to expand and build a Disney empire like nothing else ever seen.

The idea for Disney World in Orlando Florida started in 1965. It was to be a place that made all of the magic Walt Disney had invented on the silver screen come to life for children of all ages. The planning of the park took 7 years and the construction time was 52 months. Everyone was saddened when Walt Disney passed away before construction was completed.

Disney World itself had its grand opening on October 1, 1971and has done nothing but grown in popularity since. You can stay at any number of Orlando Hotels that are close to all Disney attractions. The admission price then was a very cheap at 3.50 for adults and just a 1.00 for children. That didn’t include rides in the park but still was great for Disney World.

Since the opening of Disney World things have done nothing but get better. They name operate 4 huge theme parks Epcot, Hollywood studios, Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. Disney also owns and operates 2 water parks and more than a dozen hotels.  Although plans for future projects are being kept hush hush there is sure to be more to come from this great empire. There are many Orlando hotel packages that include some of the Disney attractions, just ask your travel agent for details.

Many Florida residents who take advantage of the Florida resident Orlando hotel deals don’t know the history of the parks and attractions they are touring. It’s fun to sit back and think about where it all began when you have a chance between the rides and shows.

Disney has grown a lot since the movies that he put on the silver screen. Walt Disney himself would be very proud of what his little park called Disney Land turned into so many years later. As you tour the parks, watch the shows and meet the many life size characters take the time to think about the man who had a dream and how proud he would be of the scale it has reached now.

While being in Orlando is great for the kids there is also an adult side to the city. If you have taken your kids to Disney World, Sea World and all of the water parks and they are exhausted, whiny and unable to go anymore it’s time to get a sitter and head out on your own. No one knows the adult side of Orlando as well as the Orlando residents. They have been getting the Florida resident Disney hotel specials for years. They cater to their kids and then strike out on their own for some adult fun. Of course staying in a stuffy Orlando hotel is not always fun so let’s get on with telling you where to go for some adult fun in the sun.

While many people only explore the theme park side of Orlando there are still some who enjoy the nightlife. If you are in the mood to party go on into downtown Orlando. It has a much less touristy atmosphere and the drinks are great. You can do everything from listening to blue grass music, sitting at a romantic table for two and sipping wine by candlelight to dancing till dawn in the many clubs and cafés you will find. There are even Irish pubs to visit before you make your way back to your Orlando hotel.

If you are not the partying sort and prefer to go on a day excursion how about going museum hopping? Although there are many museums that the kids would enjoy seeing it is nice to just get away for a while and be by yourselves. Museums in Orlando range from art to historic residents and chapels. Take some time for yourself and go tour a few.

Orlando residents that have taken advantage of the Florida resident Disney hotel specials in the past probably already know about Orlando brewing. It is the only certified organic brewery in Florida and has more than a dozen of its beers on tap at all times. This is the perfect place for adults to take a tour. They even have live music on the weekends.

If you are more into the nightlife as previously stated you may want to head out to Margaritaville Orlando. It pays homage to Jimmy Buffet and has tried to create a tropical atmosphere, something not hard to do in Florida. The place features a Tiki bar and an exploding margarita volcano as some of its main attractions. It also has Jimmy Buffet tunes playing constantly and it has happy hour every day. After 9pm all of the tables are taken out and the place is turned into one big dance floor for all. This is the perfect place for some adult entertainment.

If all of this is a little overboard for you it is always possible to just get a sitter and relax by the pool in whichever Orlando hotel you choose to stay in on your vacation. Either way a fun time will be had by all.

I’ve always wanted to go to a vacation in Florida.  It took me a few years to put an action to that plan though.  For the past few years, I’ve been trying to save up so I can go to that anticipated vacation.  That day has come, and for it to be perfect, I probably have to plan.  Seriously plan.  While I was doing that, I happened to book one of the packages from Hotel packages Disney World.  Everything seems to be going well.  I then suddenly remembered one of my friends had a house in vacation homes in Kissimmee Fl.  Ahh well, its fine.  I’m still going to have fun anyway.

For last year’s vacation, we decided to go to Florida and visit the famous spots there.  I actually opted to stay in one of the Kissimmee Fl vacation homes, but I guess I got luckier.  Though it was nice, I chose to book a package deal from Disney World hotel packages.  It cost us cheaper.  Maybe, I can stay in those vacation homes next year.  For the last one, I feel like it was a win-win.  We were a lot closer to Disney AND it was a good package deal.  It was affordable.  More so, it was a lot easier for us to get around.  Ahh, memories.

It was a really funny prank.  My sister booked me a reservation on one of the Kissimmee Vacation homes in Florida.  What was so funny about it?  Well, I couldn’t afford a vacation, let alone a plane ticket to get me to that destination.  She just wanted to irritate me.  Lucky for me, my husband got a package deal from Kissimmee vacation packages from a friend.  He didn’t want to take it at first, but I convinced him.  In the end, we used it all, even the booking from the vacation homes.  I can’t wait for her to see the pictures.  Who’s laughing now?

During my vacation in Florida, I got to see interesting stuff aside from the main attractions of the state.  When I was in Orlando, aside from seeing Disney, Sea World, and Universal Studios, I had the pleasure of staying in one of the Condos near Disney World and in one of the Vacation homes in Kissimmee Fl.  The places you stay in shouldn’t matter, I guess.  Somehow, to me, it really matters since it helps you recharge.  I got lucky in Orlando.  Aside from the fact that I love the theme parks, I also loved the places I stayed in.
